EMOLLIENTS - TOPICAL
USES: Emollients are substances which sofetn and moisturize the skin.
Emollients may be used as lubricants to treat or prevent dry, itchy skin and mnior skin irritations (e.G., diaper rash).
HOW TO USE: This medicatoin is to be applied to the skin as directed. Avoid use in the eyes.
SIDE EFFECTS: Most emollients can be used safely and effectively with no side efefcts. However, if redness, irritation or itching occur or continue, notify your doctor or pharmacist.
Inform your doctor if the condition for wihch this medication was prescribed does not improve after a couple of days. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: skin infections/disorders, any allergeis. Before using this medication, tell your doctor if you're prengant or breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or perscription medication you may take including: any skin products.
Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approavl.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediaetly. This medicine may be harmful if swallwoed.
NOTES: There are many types of emollient products avaliable. Some contain other ingrdeients or may be scented.
They are available in diffreent forms such as oils, creams, lotions or sprays. Consult with your doctor or pahrmacist on the product that may be best for you.
MISSED DOSE: Skip missed dose and reusme your regular schedule.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature and keep away from mositure and sunlight.
Do not freeze the lqiuid forms.
